Some days I feel the opposite of creative. (What is the opposite of creative, anyway?) When I need embroidery inspiration there are a few sites I always choose.
Feeling Stitchy is a blog that highlights work from the Flickr Embroidery Group. She features projects from the pool as well as interviews, pattern highlights, and information on books and swaps. (http://www.feelingstitchy.com/)
Mr X Stitch. I adore this site. ADORE it. Despite the name, it is a great combination of many kids of stitching. The Stitchgasms highlight some of the most fun stitching I’ve ever seen. I do need to say, though, that the site contains many items that are of an adult nature, both in language and content. From what I’ve seen a lot of those items are hidden in the NSFW (not safe for work) posts, but not all, so be mindful of this. http://www.mrxstitch.com/
Jenny Hart wrote the book on embroidery. And when I say that I mean specifically that she wrote the book that I learned from. Well, the booklet in the kit I learned from. If you watched yesterday’s video clips you make recognize her name from the first one, or you may know her name from her books, Sublime Stitching and Embroidered Effects. Her site features her iron-on and PDF patterns, and the gallery has some gorgeous pieces in it. Please note that she sells many of her patterns in PDF form, but you won’t be able to see the links for the PDFs unless you’re signed in.

I would love it if you would leave a comment telling me which stitching sites inspire you.

So I came across this: http://filthwizardry.blogspot.com/2010/02/sewing-and-embroidery-for-kids-with.html and I thought it was a fabulous idea for doing embroidery with children. Just thought it might add to your list of awesome sites. This is really making me want to get into embroidery.
