It’s that important week, the week before Christmas, and while the big family presents have been purchased/made, there are a lot of neighbors, friends, and co-workers that I need to think about now. I think that housewares make good universal gifts, and can be personalized for a lot of interests. Here are some of my favorites:

Pet-themed picture frames (from BHG.com.)

Felt coasters. All you need for these is felt and a hole punch, and you could make a big stack in an evening. You can easily match the recipient’s home decor or favorite colors. (From MarthaStewart.com.)
Holiday clothespins. Another project you can completely personalize for the recipient. They can be used on a clothesline to hold photos or you can add magnets to the back. (From Blue Cricket Design.)

Monogrammed dishtowels. A stencil and some fabric paint and you’ve got a great hostess gifts. (From MarthaStewart.com.)
