Ah teachers… they rule our lives for so many years and then we have kids and we are once again beholden to them. Well, they work hard, they deserve nice things.

But, a bit of advice, if I may… I lived in an area where 90% of the women in my church congregation were teachers. After a few years of teaching many of those teachers has more mugs, apple themed kitsch, houseplants, and “”World’s Best Teacher” swag to last them a lifetime. They spent an incredible amount of their time, energy, and money to do their job. For your gifts consider something that will relieve stress  or something that will help them teach. Donating a book to their classroom or giving them a gift card for a store that sells the supplies they need for that grade level will help more than any cute thing to put on their desk. But if you can do it then the best thing you can do for a teacher is to volunteer in the school or in the classroom.

Here are a few ideas for things you can make:

Burlap Bag gift card holders from Vintage Indie
Decorated notebook from Stampin’ Up!
Flower shaped gift card holders
Printable tags for teacher gifts from A Bushel and a Peck

Lain made these notebooks from paper scraps and mini-notebooks. You could make a dozen of these in an hour.
